Aluminium Waterproof Tape

It is mainly used to seal, repair and waterproof joints, cracks, pipes, roofs, air ducts and other surfaces. It is waterproof, heat-resistant, UV-resistant, airtight and durable, and can stick firmly to metal, plastic, concrete and many other materials.

Acrylic adhesive: Low-cost, ideal for indoor light-duty tasks (e.g., shelf lining, window heat reflection), temperature resistance roughly -20°C to 80°C.

Butyl adhesive: Strong waterproof/sealing performance, suitable for outdoor or construction use (e.g., duct gap sealing), temperature range -40°C to 120°C.

Silicone adhesive: High-temperature resistance (up to 200°C or more), used for industrial applications (e.g., oven repairs, automotive component protection).

1. Clean the surface: Wipe the area dry, remove dust, oil, dirt, and loose materials. The surface must be smooth and dry for good adhesion.
2. Cut the tape to length: Measure and cut the aluminium waterproof tape to the required size with scissors or a knife.
3. Peel off the backing paper: Slowly remove the protective liner from the adhesive side.
4. Apply and press firmly: Stick the tape evenly over cracks, joints, pipes, or damaged areas. Use your hand or a roller to press hard along the entire surface to eliminate bubbles and ensure full contact.
5. Overlap for better sealing: For long seams or large gaps, overlap the tape by at least 2–3 cm to create a continuous waterproof layer.
6. Smooth the edges: Press the edges tightly to prevent lifting, water penetration, or peeling over time.
7. Avoid stretching excessively: Do not stretch the tape too much during application, as this may cause it to shrink and lose adhesion later.

1. Surface must be clean, dry and free of oilDust, water, grease or loose paint will seriously reduce adhesion.
2. Do not apply on wet or frozen surfacesMoisture under the tape will cause bubbling, peeling and poor sealing.
3. Press firmly and remove air bubblesUse a roller or hard tool to press tightly; bubbles lead to water leakage.
4. Avoid over-stretching the tapeStretching too much can cause shrinkage, edge lifting and failure over time.
5. Allow sufficient overlappingOverlap joints by at least 2–3 cm for a continuous waterproof barrier.
6. Not suitable for long-term full submersionMost aluminium waterproof tapes are for sealing and splash-proof, not permanent underwater use.
7. Avoid applying to extremely hot surfacesApplying to very hot surfaces may cause the glue to soften and not stick properly.
8. Store in a cool, dry placeKeep away from high temperature, direct sunlight and moisture to preserve the adhesive.
9. Not recommended for flexible or constantly moving surfacesFrequent bending or movement may break the seal and cause detachment.
