Tapes come in many varieties, classified into various categories based on different criteria. Common types include BOPP tape, based on biaxially oriented polypropylene film, and widely used in the packaging industry. Cloth tape, based on cloth, offers toughness and strength, suitable for applications requiring additional strength and durability. Kraft paper tape, based on kraft paper, offers high strength, excellent weather resistance, water resistance, frost resistance, and easy tearing. Masking tape is often used for decorative purposes such as masking. Applications include warning tape, used to mark warning areas or provide safety warnings. Carpet tape, used to secure carpets or provide slip resistance. Electrical tape, used for electrical insulation, offers excellent insulation properties and high-temperature resistance. Sealing tape is the most commonly used tool for sealing and packaging. Adhesive properties include single-sided tape and double-sided tape, the latter of which has an adhesive layer on both sides, used to bond two surfaces together. According to their functions, there are high-temperature tapes, which have a temperature resistance of 120 to 260 degrees and are suitable for high-temperature working environments; insulating tapes, which are used in electrical fields such as wire connection and wire insulation wrapping; waterproof tapes, which have waterproof properties and are often used in outdoor and water pipe repair situations where waterproofing is required; special tapes have special functions or properties, such as anti-slip tapes and anti-peel/anti-cut tapes.
